Naat Competition in Burhani National Group of Schools

On the occasion of Milad UN Nabi an interschool Naat Competition was organized by Burhani National Education Society among the schools at the campus of Burhani National Urdu High School. Earlier an interclass ‘Naat’ Competition was organized in each school separately. Winners of this were qualified for the final.

The Judges of the competition were 1)  Dr. Sharfunnihar, Head of the Dept .of Urdu, Dr. Rafiq  Zakeria Campus, Naukhanda Collage for Women, A,bad. , 2) Dr. Mohd. Samiullah Nadvi, Lecturer, Dr. Rafiq  Zakeria Campus, Naukhanda Collage for Women, A,bad.,    3) Mohd. Sadique  Nadvi, lecturer, Zakir Husain, Jr. Collage. Janab Shk. Taherbhai Ezzi, Aamil Saheb, President Burhani National Education Society Presided the Competition. The members of the society present on the occasion were Murtuzabhai Bagwala,Shabbir Husain Josh Husainbhai Bakhri, Ali Azgarbhai Shamgadhwala and the heads of the schools.

      The programme commenced with the verses of the holy Quran, by Mohd. Adnan, student of the school. The president and the judges were introduced by Syed Amjaduddin Quadri who conducted the programme. A floral welcome was given to Aamil Saheb, Judges and heads of the schools. Bohra Mushtaque Ali, Headmaster of Urdu High School, explained the aims, objectives and the rules of the competition.

    A Naat was presented by Bohra Mushtaque Ali, Ali Asgar Bhai and Hamza Zandawala.

        Naat were presented in Urdu and Arabic languages.  All the contestants presented Naat using beautiful words in praise of Prophet Mohammed, with accurate pronunciations melodiously.  Through Naat they created an enchanting and pious atmosphere and won the hearts of the audience.

 The judges were greatly impressed. In their speech they appreciated and admired the performance of the contestants They Congratulated the contestants and the teachers who guided them. They spoke in a poetic manner using beautiful classic Urdu couplets.

       Aamil sahib  appreciated the performances of the students and congratulated them. Such kind of Competition should be organized among the other schools of the city.

From first group the winners of the competition were Tayyaba  Firdous Quazi Samiuddin and Mumtaz Bano Syed Samiuddin. In second group Shaikh Abu Hurairah Sk. Zubair Ahmed and Tahura Khan Arif Khan clinched the first and second prizes respectively.In third group victors were Umme Kulsum and Ishrat Fatema.

    The programmer was ended with the National Anthem.
